I'm just coming off surgery for a SLAP tear and small cuff tear. Depending on how old you while more than likely determine how your surgeon elects to fix it. If you are younger(<35), your surgeon may decide to repair your tear. This is a tough rehab and takes a ton of work at PT. If you are a touch older they will usually do a biceps tenodesis. The rehab is much quicker for this option. Good luck with your recovery

Should just need Arthroscopic surgery to fix.
Ask your Anesthesiologist to do an Inter-scalene block, it will keep you comfy for several hours.
Ice backs, or a ice flush system and pad ( polar ice system) and a recliner for a few days to sleep in are your friend.
