My daughter won at the NRHA Futurity yesterday!

My 13 yo daughter has been showing her reining horse all year to qualify for the Affiliates. She qualified and would be competing against 45 other kids from the US and Canada at the NRHA Futurity . Yesterday was the Finals for the Affiliates in Oklahoma City. She had a spectacular run and marked a 215.5. She won a pewter, buckle, custom reining saddle, $100 worth of tack, a saddle blanket, and cooler sheet and some other items. I'm so proud of her. She did awesome! Just had to share.

She killed her second buck this year. It's been a great ending to a good year

The horse is a 10 yo gelding out of Gunner/double sweet BH mare. We were riding with Casey Deary but now ride with Trey Pool out of Weatherford.

When I rode reiners I rode with the Havertys when Casey was still there. Sounds like a great gelding. Can't wait for my child to get old enough to ride. I hear the thrill is even greater than riding/winning yourself. Congratulations again to the little lady. And a great buck too. Raising quite the all around girl there!
