Visiting Cypress this weekend and want to take my Uncle duck hunting. I have Looked at google maps and see that the Brazos is seemingly the closest public to go. I am no asking for anyones spots or anything but would love to know if there is closer public or what would steer me in the right direction. I am a big duck hunter, just that part of TX is no longer my neck of the woods is all.

id say upper end of Livingston or trinity bay are your best bets -

Unless you're going in the bay, 8 doz is way overboard down here. Throw maybe 1 doz out if you're on the river.Comment

Depending on your zone, I wouldnt recommend to hunt this weekend.... Could end up being a pretty pricey hunt.Comment

South Zone be closed right now. I don't know which zone Cypress is in. Guess I could look at a map, but I'm too lazy.

Cypress is on the line lol I believe Harris county is south zone though if thats where you will be hunting.Comment

dont belive it matter what county, more your position relative to I-10. South of I-10=Closed, North of I-10= Open. As far as duck hunting in cypress, id call a guide that has property in Katy-prairie, most will do unguided hunts for 75 per person. as far as hunting the Brazos goes, if you find a way to legally put in let me know.
