I purchased a Sniper hog light for my bow and I did not spend the extra $60 or so for a battery and charger. Can this light run on regular batteries and if so whit life should I expect?

I have EWT lights; different, but they are similar in concept, here is what I have learned:
A 18650 battery will power one of the lights for a pretty darn long time.
I charge all my batteries before I head to the lease, I have only ever had one die on me when we were out varmint hunting all night, and I was using it as a searchlight.
They don't last nearly as long with a AAA battery module.

I love those lights! You can buy the chargers and batteries on Amazon as well. And you can get larger capacity (up to 5000mAh) batteries than the ones they sell. Nothing against their chargers or batteries, as those are the ones I have myself. I'm just saying there's nothing particularly magical about buying the chargers and batteries through them versus buying them elsewhere.
Edit: But read reviews and go with a name brand. There's some junk out there.Last edited by Snakelover; 12-17-2014, 03:18 PM.

Mine came with a AAA adapter, that was a long time ago and they were crap compared to the rechargeable batteries.

Every battery we have ever tested that listed over 3400ma was actually somewhere between 1600-2400ma. We use the best 18650 protected batteries on the market made by Panasonic. They are also the highest capacity 18650 battery made at 3400ma. There is no such thing as a 18650 battery that has a capacity over 3400ma. If you see one that list a higher # then 3400ma then it's a lie. When you buy 2 batteries from us with a light we only charge $17.00 and you wont find 2 18650 3400ma panasonic protected batteries for less anywhere.

However, you discontinued my very favorite, the Mini-Sniper. I have two Destroyers but still prefer the handy size of the Mini. Thank you for making a great product!Last edited by gonehuntin68; 12-18-2014, 04:04 PM.
