Sprint vs. AT&T - San Antonio

I have had Sprint service and the Iphone 4 in SA for the past couple of years. The service is dreadfully slow but I don't know if that is because I was on the 3g network. I am debating whether to switch to AT&T or stay with Sprint. Either way I will be getting the Iphone 6. AT&T is about $40-$50 more each month, but may be worth it if the service is better.

As a practical matter, I primarily stay around the SA areas and hunt in the Comfort/Kerrville/Fredericksburg area.

Any tips? Anyone have any suggestions/advice?

    Thanks in advance.

AT&T has its issues but is a heck of a lot better than sprint. My wife has sprint for her work phone and it sucks. Coverage is terrible. My phone has much better reception and will work in many places that my wife's wont. We both have the phone 6.

I had sprint for 6 years and that was all I could take. Switched over to AT&T and been very happy with quality of call and reception is great especially when I'm working down is South Texas. You won't be disappointed SWITCH!!!

I just got an iPhone 6 on sprint (San Antonio area) and it is dramatically better than my 4s.

Almost as good as my AT&T iPhone 5 (company phone)

Personally, I couldn't justify the extra cost for AT&T over sprint for our family plan. However, if I didn't have the AT&T phone to fall back on in places that sprint doesn't work, I would have AT&T for personal use.

Had Sprint, swapped to AT&T. Sprint sucks.

Had no issues with Sprint in town, but poor service at the lease in Webb county and no service in most of Edwards county. I recently switched to AT&T and no longer have the service issues in rural areas.

For me, the cost variance is worth the peace of mind when I am out in the sticks.
