Wouldn't it be much better to have a much shorter rifle season? Say like Oklahoma and Kansas has. Wouldn't that help grow bigger bucks than the antler restriction? Personally I hate it. JMO

Awww I tried to post a comment about why not do away with rifle hunting altogether except for the under 17 or over 60 groups and it wouldn't let me... TBH have a preemptive strike filter now?

I would like to see a shorter rifle season myself. Maybe more youth season or have statewide Black powder seasons. Of course bow hunting at any time.Comment

Please, Just keep this thread, your opinions and issues lumping your own baby deer shooting problematic counties out of the general state of Texas...this crap about folks living in AR areas always wanting to make their own laws that are helpful/successful to their particular problematic areas going state wide or abolishing all AR together sticks in my craw.
I'm all for it if beneficial, but again please only Push & Pass laws for the counties needing to improve deer herds, but don't lump the state of TX in with your own can of worms....this comes up & happens on EVERY AR thread.
We don't need any help!! This is TX and most areas are managing fine without adding more restrictive game laws to control our culls. Take care of your own house and we'll do the same.
