Most of the classes pop up between March and June. Its all volunteer teachers and need to have a class size of 10+ (some may go lower) to make it worth their volunteer time. You can also go to http://tpwd.texas.gov/learning/hunte...tml#bowhunting
for a list of currently scheduled classes.

I took it a few years ago. 2050z and Arrowsmith taught it.

I went in thinking I would struggle to stay awake, and wound up having a ball for both days of class.

They did a great job, and if they are doing it again, I recommend you jump on board.

This may seem like a dumb question, but, is it mandatory?

not in Texas, but getting certified doesn't hurt and at worse, makes you a more educated hunter and spokesman for hunting

                            check out this link, https://tpwd.texas.gov/education/hun...n-requirements

i believe it was $30 dollars. i actually enjoyed the online portion.
it isnt required unless you hunt Haggerman or in some states out west.
i figured id take it anyways.
