Taking out the trash! 8 points that had to go!

My son and a couple friends took out some of the low end bucks. We have taken out the undesirable bucks since 2003-04 and I think it is really paying off. I have not seen a spike, fork horn or anything below an 8 point for 3 years now that is 3.5 or older. The mature bucks we are seeing are 8 points and above and we have several 1.5 old deer with 6-8 and even 10 points for their first racks. I call it the Tuthdoc plan because he was the one that emailed me what we have gone by for so many years.

We have had huge body weights this year on deer. Had lots of rain all year and lots of protein fed.

Amazing how things change. What you are referring to as trash would have made the local paper and went to the taxidermist when i was a young man.

Those are trash? I think we have differing ideas of what trash is.

                      Nice bucks.

I don't like the term trash. The 8 point whitetail is the most common product in the whitetail classification. They are natural and beautiful. A 140" 8pt means more to me than a 160" 10pt.
