    Internet Tracking

It is amazing how they can track and follow you.

Yesterday I look at the underwear thread. So I went to Duluth to see if anything was interesting.

So today I open explore to yahoo and Duluth is one of the side advertisements.

I needed to log into Face book and Duluth was there.

I switched to Google Chrome and Duluth was there.

    I happens all the time.

This happens on my office computer, the one at home, and the one at the farm.

All have programs that are supposed to take tracking cookies out.

Yep it is creepy.. All the ads I see are geared towards the latest hunting stuff I have been looking at.
Lately a common youtube video ad has been for ranches outside of Austin.

There are hooks all over the place on our computers and Internet browsing devices and there's a very fine line between them and viruses that wreak havoc on us.

Cookies, hooks, bots, rootkits, targeting, retargeting, triangulation, profiling, blah, blah are all buswords in this new reality.

I am no fan of Stephen Hawking, but he went on record recently, saying, "The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race." I don't know if I would go that far, but he might have a point of what's to come and we may be experiencing it's primitive forms now.

Not just Internet, Target does customer purchase profiling of its customers. I'm sure most brick and mortar do customer tracking/profiling

I have expierenced this on some forums aswell, not TBH of course. I have looked/purchased from web sites that are not sponsors of sadi forums, and then you go on that forum and start noticing that every page now has an ad for the site you purchased from. Keep you cookies, temp internet files, etc.... cleaned up as best you can (delete mine everyday) and use Inprivate browsing feature when you can, it helps some.

I know there is not alot I can do about it, but makes me a little angry to know that sadly there is not much true Privacy anymore. I can say that when I Google my name the only thing out there is property tax rolls type info. so that makes me feel a little better.

I think it would be overwhelming if we knew everything that was tracked about us.

For instance if I buy a gun from a TBH member, no papers and we communicate via text messages. Do you think Big Brother knows I have that gun now? Serious question

I just tried this with IE. Opened IE in inPrivate mode went to Duluth then back to yahoo. Duluth was there. It was in the same session. Closed then opened IE again and it was just a yahoo add.
