anyone have a freer texas rut report?

The bucks are still running together where I hunt east of Freer....typically mid-December to Christmas rut from what I have seen

I'm about 35 miles south of Freer in Hebbronville. Hunted all last weekend and Tuesday and Wednesday. Small bucks doing a little half hearted chasing but nothing spectacular. Older bucks are starting to spar a little and breaking up from there bachelor groups. So I would say in another couple weeks we should start to see some rut activity.

im headed that way in the morning. cant wait. colder weather would be nice but either way will be a great time, deer or no deer.

thanks for the replys guys. my father in law said he has a buddy that has a place about 20 min from were we are going and in the last few days he has seen a few mature bucks start to do a little running. said it seems to be a week or two early on his place this year. we will see. we are heading up friday evening and i plan on sitting all day saturday to see what is going on. thanks for the feed back and good luck to everyone.

I saw some very nice video of some mature bucks fighting today. Wasn't too far from ya.

Yea I'm here now. A few of the bigger bucks down here are nosing around half heartedly chasing. Still a week or so early is my guess
