          I can't believe anyone would pay good money for work like that when there's plenty of good ol' Chinese-made products out there.

          Just kidding of course. That is pretty awesome. People like that definitely take pride in their work and it shows.

                        Cool, but I was disappointed that he just made a pattern welded blade (what everyone now incorrectly refers to as "Damascus steel"). True Damascus steel was a single piece of wootz steel that after heat treatment had ferrite and cementite bands that separated on the surface to give that "Damascus" look.

                        If you want a comparison, here ya go (the real damascus looks like running water, and the other looks like someone layered pieces of metal and then folded it a bunch).
