    Hunting on Georgetown Lake

    Good Evening Everyone,

Has anyone ever hunted Georgetown lake? Where are some good spots to set up a tree stand or blind? I went out this past week and thought we had a good spot picked out but it's right on the dirt bike trail.

Please if anyone has some advise please send me a PM.

    Thanks,

    Jeremy

Not sure if you are aware. You have to be drawn to hunt Lake Georgetown. If you did get drawn, good luck and hunt away from the crowds.

If it is the trail on the northside of the river then dont worry. I only ride the 250cc out there during the week.............

          LMOA,

I understand about the draw, I already picked up my permit.

I meant to say Mountain Bike trail.

I was just wondering if anyone on the green sheet would help a brother out and point me in the right direction. I don't know Lake Georgetown very well and was just asking for some help.

          Thanks,

My back fence is the boundary fence for C of E on north side. I wander around out there all the time. I have seen some very nice bucks this year. You are more than welcome to come out and I will be happy to show you where some good places are and that are fairly easy to get to.
If your interested Email me or pm me. Bob

They've always said to set up 100 yds or so off the trails. There are joggers, bikers, dog walkers, boy scouts, and all the rest out there all year long. Most of them have no idea hunting is allowed or taking place.

From what I've seen most guys set up within 300 yds of a gate, hunt for about three weeks then stay home.
