Had me some St Arnolds stout mixed with a pale ale today. Good stuff...

Had a couple of good beers last night. Founders Oatmeal Stout on Nitro. Light bodied but rich and creamy with dark roasted malt notes. Chocolate and coffee prevailed. 2nd beer was Abita Wrought Iron IPA. One of the best IPA'S I've had. Medium body with citrus on the nose. Good malt backbone to stand up to the hops. Peach, mango and grapefruit dominate the the flavors with a nice but not overly bitter grapefruit finish. Well done Abita.

Rumors have it that Green Flash is bringing Alpine to Texas. Can't wait to get Nelson on the regular.

Drinking me a Saint Arnolds Divine Reserve 12 (Old Ale) bomber right now. It has gotten quite sweet being stored for the last 2 years. It's goood.

Big Texas Beer Fest tickets went on sale today.
Somewhere near 100 brewer's.
Has been fun the last two years.
Not as big as GABF however more Texas beers.
Great opportunity to sample a couple hundred beers in one afternoon.

Czar Russian Imperial Stout, Sterling Malt Variety: Two-row barley, Oats, Cara-45, Black malt, ABV: 10-12% IBUs: 55
Starts a with a bit coffee taste and finishes heavy.
The ABV on the back end is noticeable.
Another good stout..
