    Brute question

I just purchased a brute 50 Wednesday before Thanksgiving and added ice and my drinks. I noticed the next day that the was water leaking from the drains on both sides. I put it off thinking I didn't tighten the drains up when I removed it from the box. I put ice in it again yesterday morning and it has set out since then. I went out today and found that it again had water under where both drains were. This time I know the drains were tight. Is this common or maybe I have some defective plugs?

It might not be the screw in drain itself. There are 2 Phillips head screws that hold the drain assembly to the cooler, maybe tighten those up?

Hopefully they have moved beyond sending a boat drain plug as the solution.

Might as well get them to send you a seal while you're at it.

Screws were tight so that wasn't it.

Silicone, new drains my tail. If water is leaking around the drain assembly that means it has contacted and soaked into insulation between the walls. I would ask for a replacement cooler.
