check out catfish1.com they are very helpful

I would say if you use punch bait, Sure Shot it is made by Benny Roberts of Decatur you can order it on his website (catfishbait.net). Magic Bait has come out with a new bait that was developed here in Texas by some local guides they belive it is the best bait.

I was out on the lake one day and another guy was tearing them up with raw bacon. He says that's all he ever uses. Roll some of it up but leave some dangling off of the hook. He had quite a stringer. I haven't tried it though.

well it all depends what kind of catfish you are fishing for.

With blue cat Pole or throw lines. we use Chicken liver with just 1 drop for Anise Oil . (get it at a drug store) It works great.

Channel Cat. Bet with pole or trot line.We will get a 5 gal bucket and put 2/3 hen scratch with 2 cups sugar and fill bucket with water to just over top of feed. Put lid on and let sit in sun for 5-7days. Snells mad but find you a channel and drop about 2 coffee cans in water and come back in 1 hour..

Ope. BET with Trot lineWe us cut shad/ gizard shad. Ususally catch from local lake. Cut in half and bait lines.

I fish with an older guy sometimes and he will mix peanut butter and lent from his clothes dryer with his stink bait to make it stay on the treble hooks better....We always catch alot of cats.............

                              Sure Shot

Benny Roberts mixes cattails in with the other ingredients to thicken the mixture. It'll stay on the hook. In fact, you have to get pliers to remove it when you are done fishing.

dryer lint...lol that's a trip. I can see some good ole boy reaching into his pocket and pulling out a wad of dryer lint and saying what the heck and baiting it up. Dryer lint is a new one for me. LOL
