I just ****** off every tree rat around. I put out some persimmons yesterday in preparation for this evenings hunt. All the persimmons I put out we're gone and there was at least two squirrels in the area when I baited for this evenings hunt. Now they are making as much racket as possible. Do the deer give them any credit?

Don't think so....My ladder stand is set up on one po'd squirrel's home and he lets me know...will stare me down and then chatter away. Hasn't kept the wt's from coming in though. One morning when he first discovered me he jumped from the trunk behind me onto the top of my head onto another branch. He stopped and turned around and started chattering. I guess he didn't see me as I was camoed in my leafy suit, face camo and face net. LOL

When I hunt the Midwest I listen for the chattering squirrels. They don't care for the deer eating all their acorns, and will bark at them as they feed through. It is a great early warning system for approaching deer.
In texas I have seen squirrels bark at leaves when the wind blows, so who even knows here.
