    What is the correct name of the trees with the large green apple like fruit with the knobs all over that nothing seems to eat?

                Yep, correct above. Make great fence post but are hard to drive a fence staple into, and a chainsaw will throw sparks when cutting them. That wood is as hard as Woodpecker lips!

                    Crappie love these branches, remove all the leaves and bait out a crappie hole with a bunch of these branches on the side of a ledge and let the crappie come in. Nothing else works this well for baiting out a crappie hole. Do not know why but they love them.

                      Bois D'Arc didn't the name come from the Spanish because the natives used the limbs for bows? Thought I read that somewhere.

                            Bois D'arc, horse Apple, there are other names. The wood is a very hard wood.
