    Hog dog question

If dogs are "on the hogs" all day but can't get any of the hogs stopped, is this a dogs aren't good enough problem or something that just happens sometimes?

Depends on how big of a hog there on.

Depends on how often this happens and how if went down. U let my dogs leg a couple get away from just pure laziness then they are out of here. A good pack of dogs will work him down and get the pig stopped and wait for O' Dozer to come in for the fight!! (My amazing catch dog)

Negative! These hogs have been educated by all the folks with so,called hog dogs starting them and not getting them stopped or bayed. It takes a rough set of dogs now days to stop these runners in a lot of areas! Good dogs can still get it done but they too get out run from time to time. What happens most of the time on a big hog is his smart arse will run the dogs through a small group of hogs and you'll end up catching a/the smaller one........

Times have changed in hog dogging for sure! Not near as much fun anymore for many reasons including the one you've mentioned in this post!

Mostly younger hogs. We don't have anything over 100# on camera.
