I think they are pack rats and taking the cubes for further snacks. I need them gone now! I put 2 cubes on glue traps and have seen both cubes chewed on and one completely gone after they were chewed on and moved, but the other is still there with the cube chewed on. I put the cubes on the glue traps.

Check out a company called Gemplers, they sell all kinds of baits and you can buy the sticky glue in gallon cans

Rats, Norway rats or pack rats, not sure, but they are not mice.

The bucket trap posted above works, but you have to work to make sure that EVERY other possible food source is gone. That means every grain of rice, every bit of dog food, every kernel of corn.

When my brother was in college his house had rats and he and his room mates couldn't get rid of them. So I had them put everything food related in containers or in the freezer and all dog food went in a rubber maid barrel with a lid.

THEN we put out the bucket trap. Actually, we used a good sized cooler. In about 2 days, no more rat problem.

Yes just one bite is the name of it. They eat it and then go to water. Its not unusual not to see dead ones but after a while you won't see any signs of them

get the tomcat liquid bait and put it in a chicken waterer then place the waterer in a valve box or a bucket with two holes cut out on the sides so that they can access it , bc if you have pack rats all they do is store the bait it doesnt kill them but they need water to drink , works like a charm
