I have two that are going on 10+ years but both have been back for warranty repair. I like them due to them being entirely enclosed inside the thick aluminum tube with nothing exposed but the spinner plate. One is running on AA batteries and has been for last 5-6 yrs. Before that it was powered by C-cells and threw a lot better. That c-cell holder got corroded and I just switched back to AAs. Other one is on a 12-v w/solar panel and throws just great.

Their warranty service is amazing--here's my story about it. Had a brand new unit (On Time Elite model) and took it to the lease to install while the other one was in warranty. Took it out of the box, put the batteries in it and hit the test. It just about shook itself out of my hands. Spinner plate was really flopping around. When it stopped, I tried to wiggle the plate and it had a quarter inch of play each direction. Turned out the box had been dropped spinner plate down and the impact had forced the shaft back into the motor, destroying all the bearings, etc. Called OnTime, told them my situation and that I was at the lease for another 3 days and they said "No problem, send it in when you get home. We'll put a new one in the mail now." Well, this was a Monday--and when I got home on Thursday, what did I find waiting for me but a new one. Beat me home from the lease--that's why I like them myself.
