So last night I went to the Navasota vs Chapel Hill game to watch my little brother. During half time Chapel Hill's band was the first to play. So they're playing a couple songs and the first formation they get into spells out CHS. Pretty basic and easily understood. Then this is where the mother and daughter behind me made me question the world's future. The band marches and makes "#1". They're talking back and forth trying to figure out what is says. The mom then says "What are they doing? Playing Tic-Tac-Toe?" That's when the daughter exclaims "Oh! It's a hashtag! What does hashtag 1 mean?" I literally face palmed myself and couldn't even turn around to explain to her that a number sign has been around a lot longer than a hashtag. I'm only 23 and feel like we're going backwards in life

So many changes in vernacular. Then there are so many using a, and an, different than I learned in school. Before vowels.
