I don't mind the trespass fees. What concerns me is not drawing a tag with no points. Also I would hate to draw a tag in an area and then not find a ranch. Guess it would be smarter to find the ranch first ???

Find where there's a bunch of leftover tags, secure a place to hunt first, then secure the tag.

get some points for the better units. we hunted leftover units last month because we didn't draw our primary unit. still had a good time.

regarding the public land. its easy. get you some blm maps, the onxmap chip for wy for your gps and go hunt. numbers are down in the state but even the worst areas are better than most other states. get west of I25 and there is more public land and lower draw odds. east is more private. we like to hunt around casper/kaycee area. do a little research. its easy. i would never pay a trespass fee and dang sure not a outfitter to hunt antelope, UNLESS you want to increase your odds a bit on a booner. plenty of big antelope on public though for a good hunt.

only in leftover units. leftover units are just that because they are mostly private land. you'' have to access a ranch by fee most likely or hunt the limited public in those units. your allowed 2 bucks per year. we normally always go about a week after the season opens, hunt during the week and see no other hunters.

Did you ever sort out your hunt? I'm looking into similar options/ideas.

It's not Wyoming but Idaho would be a option for you. Guaranteed tag for archery.

I'm looking into all options. I saw where the success rate for WY archery last year was around 5%. Firearms around 95%. Being that this would be my first out-of-state hunt, I'd like a little more option if I can't get it done with the bow. I'll check out Idaho. Thanks!

Unless that's how you want to go, Skip all the DIY stuff. There are some beast antelope in texas. PM JJ-Matt. He has great goats on his properties and will work his backside off to make things happen for you. On top of that he is a great dude. Very reasonably priced as well.

The 100% archery area in Idaho is a draw hunt so you need to apply for it but you will draw the tag. It's southern Idaho region.
