Thanks Carney. I'm amazed at how efficient the system is at catching water. That 1,000 gal tank has been full for most of the last 4 months. I have 2 water stations in the pasture and the trailer that use the water. I built the car/boat port a couple weekends ago and will put a collection system on it with a 600 gal tank later this month. With all the surface area 1" of rain = 600 gallons. Beats $8,000 for a well!

Back in 1981 I was invited by my Uncle Max to join him deer hunting on a lease near Avinger Tx. He told me to come prepared as we would be roughing it. I got my gear together, borrowed some camping equipment from a retired Seal. Imagine my surprise when I got to the lease that first time, I must inject here that this was the first time in 14 years I had seen Uncle Max. Sitting ther on the lease was a 1978 Winnabago. Hot cold running water, etc, etc, etc. Here I was ready to "rough" it......... Pictures have long ago disappeared.

That was the first time I ever shot a deer. Was a nice big east texas 8 point. All I have is the memories. All else was destroyed.

Thanks for bringing back the memories. Uncle Max is gone now but we enjoyed many seasons hunting together until I became ill and he died 2 years ago....
