What is wrong with this buck???

I have a few TC pics of this guy. He never shed his velvet, and his coat appears very "rough" compared to all of our other bucks. I have no other history with this buck besides this year. As of last week, he is still in velvet.

Andy all I can think of is an injury to his manhood? Or doesn't have any?

Seems that the deer that I've seen this year came out of velvet later than usual for some reason. But also, fawns still clinging to mama later in the year as usual also...hmmm?

Its either a doe w/ antlers or a Stag...not gonna hurt to take it out. With no manhood don't think he's going to be any bigger. But hey I could be wrong lol

I would agree. Here's a 4.5 year old 18 point that had no manhood. Biologist said he was born without it, never dropped his antlers and stayed in velvet. His hair looked the same.Click image for larger version

I have a 11 point freak in velvet that was missing his jewels.
He didn't appear to ever have any.

He has declared it "No shed November".

I have been watching a doe and two fawns, the fawns are on their own now for about 2 weeks. At times the seem more insecure.

It seems to me that across the entire white tailed population here the timing of events has seemed off.

Maybe he is just lazy and hasn't felt like rubbing it off yet. Haha

That is what I figured. Will he continue to grow?

Here is a picture that I found. It is hard to see his boys, but it looks like they are there…It doesn't mean that they are working though
