    stand placement help/input

I am new this year on a lease I have hunted for the past years as a guest.
I have 2 spots with feeders up and only have one rifle blind up and 2 bow spots in trees of feeder.
This is the other spot I have not hunted at all this season. and where I will put a box blind I am building at the house I wont get out until after season. It is pretty big at 5'X7' for me and the kids and will only sit 3 ' off the ground.

In this game camera image you can see the terrain. toying with the idea of setting the box blind 125-150 yrds from feeder in this clearing where I can still be at least 50 yds from the small draw/ bit of cover funnel that runs between it and the next pasture. the cover is also behind the feeder.
Or putting the blind where I originally envisioned it about 160 yds from feeder up a slope to the left in this picture.

here is an overhead image. blind2?? is original thought.
more info, I walked up on a nice bedded buck retrieving a camera card, he was just across the fence near the small text 2014 and google on the photo, by the small tank.
I park and walk in from gate just above the words "google Earth" on the bottom right edge of image.
I am not married to feeder placement could use all the area behind feeder in future and will def plan on bowstand in there on trail if appropriate.

I guess the reason I am asking all this is I am unsure even with time after season how the mature deer will get used to a large (of course painted) box blind in the middle of the clearing. or if I am better off throwing it under the small tree and having a nearer to 200 yd shot, which is ok for me, but concerned about potential guests and son who is only 7 now but..

    opinions welcome.

I would tuck my box blind into the corner of the brush above the Blind2?? yellow marker in the screenshot. And then adjust your feeder accordingly to a distance you want. They get used to the box in the open no doubt, I just don't prefer it.

I agree with The General......... Move your blind slightly up into that small patch of trees, cut out as necessary so that you can slightly recess the blind into that patch of trees then you can also cut a trail through from the backside of that patch of trees to enter into the blind giving you an easy way to block potential deer from seeing you enter the blind by using that patch of woods to block your approach.

Get it tucked into a tree if you can. You'll enjoy the extra shade and cover it provides.

Also another thing I just looked at is based on a prevailing N wind your scent will blow to the east of your feeder along the eastern edge of that patch of woods and not directly at the feeder, the only wind you would have to worry about would be a NW wind with that setup.

General, Justin I agree, thanks sometime we don't always see things others do, another perspective helps. I like that idea alot and I can get the feeder in behind/ on the other side of those two good sized oaks along that tree line.
pretty good size body on that one buck in the game camera best I had in the area last time I checked a month ago, any guess on age.

I think that setup will work great for you. as far as the age of the deer I can't tell much from that one picture other than that he looks (to me) to be bigger than a 3.5yr old but how much older i couldn't say based off that one pic.

By no means am I an aging expert but I'd say 4.5 yrs old. Maybe 3.5. JustinCorbell makes a good point about a trail through the trees to sneak into the backside of your blind. It sucks having to bust out deer just to climb into a stand.

I'd put it right where you put that new dot. And if I see the gate correctly where you said you walk in from, you could have a great path that keeps anything at the feeder from seeing you on your walk in.

wow lol after looknig at the picture again I had my compass bassackwards haha. a north wind would be perfect for that location lol, a south east wind would be your only bad wind.
