Contractor for Magnolia Remodel

Well the guy we started planning the project with has gone silent on us. He came out and measured and submitted his bid and we agreed on the price and a start date and he hasn't responded to any emails, phone calls or text since early last week. We had questions about the cost of the vanity and tub which he factored into the bid and haven't heard a peep back.


If anyone knows of a reputable contractor that can communicate timely, keep to their word, do quality work and do an honest job, please let me know. Seems like a lot to ask of some folks nowadays.

We are wanting to partially remodel our kids bathroom and complete remodel in our master bathroom. For the kids bathroom we want the old floor removed and new tile put down. We want the one-piece fiberglass tub/shower removed and tub and tile surround installed.

Master bathroom is a complete remodel with possibly the removal of partial wall into closet.

I feel for your pain on many levels!

Sad thing is I know 2 guys in the area that could do it but you would risk the same issue. One's a long time family friend and ones a flippin in-law that I still waited on for 2 months. Same guy that would complain about not having extra cash to go fishin with us over the spring and summer.

Brett- I tried to send you a pm but it wouldn't recognize your user name. Not sure if it had to do with the "&" symbol. We had slated to start the kids on December 1 as a pilot project to see if we like the work. To answer your question we are flexible on start date.

I am building two homes in westwood right now and starting another in sendera lakes estates. I would be interested in bidding it but I highly recommend against starting until after the new year.
