I just bought some hunting land in Edwards County & would like to sell my spot at our lease in May, TX (just north of Lake Brownwood) for $500. There are 6 of us on this 700 acre lease. We each get 100 acres and there's a 100 acre community area. This $500 is good till mid April. The acorns shouldn't be a problem much longer & am guessing the deer hunting will go from good to excellent around Thanksgiving. I've had two feeders throwing corn twice a day since last April. I took one feeder home today and the other feeder will stay at the lease for you to use. There's also an great tree stand with this feeder that's still there, too. The landowners only have a few rules: Guests are welcome for everything except deer hunting. You must live at least 100 miles away. Bow only for deer but you can shoot anything else with whatever you want. 3 people live in Houston, 1 in Garland & the other in Austin. There are also turkey & very large hogs that are consistently seen on the game cameras. The dove hunting in late December/early January should be pretty good. There's a pond with fish in it. All decisions are made with a majority vote. The campsite area has water, electricity & a camper. If you search Cgny27's thread from a few days ago you can see his buck he shot two days ago. I can send you lots of very recent impressive looking bucks from my two game cameras. The total lease cost is $10,000/year with half due in Mid April and the other half due just before bow season starts. Utilities for the year is about $105 per person & is paid semi-annually, also. Since there's 6 people that comes out to 1,666 per year + $105 for utilities. If you want to stay on the lease, and I have a hunch you will, then half of this is due in mid April. If you're interested please don't just hit the reply button and say "I'll take it." Please send me a private message telling me about yourself. It's important that you are a good fit for this lease.
