Kind of....
While sitting in a ladder stand over looking a big scrape this morning, I had two fawns run past me. With our rut in full swing, I expected a doe with buck in tow to be following. As I hear an animal approaching very quickly, my heart starts to race!
Is this the east texas bruiser I have been hunting all season??? NOPE!!! A freaking coyote!
I drew immediately. At a fast trot, I stopped it in a small opening and let the Z9 eat....
She growled and bit at her side then hauled tail straight into a tree. She made it another 30-40 yards and met her maker!
