TBH I found this heater but not sure how it works? The old guy selling it says it a gas stove but I couldn't find a gas connection. I was thinking maybe the tray holds liquid? Kerosine? Or how does it work? Is this safe to burn indoors? Thanks

If it's kerosene it will need to be used with plenty of ventilation. Not to the outside, just high enough to keep you from breathing the fumes.
We used one similar back in the old days in the oilfield in the shop for a place to warm up while working on the yard. Ours had a gas burner on the low end with a bunch of old steel piled in the middle to hold heat. Once it goes out the 4" pipe we had more piping looped back and forth to build a wall of heat.
