I understand being upset, but you can't keep dwelling on the what if's. It will drive you mad. I would like to think he was just lost and looking for a road out? I have tracked several deer in thick woods and gotten lost. I have a cousin that drug a doe 11 miles the wrong direction. It happens all the time. Take deep breaths and maybe switch to decaff.

I've been dealing with this very same issue. The wife will not sit alone where we are hunting for this very same reason. We've been hit by thieves twice now. Not to mention the random people walking around on our plot. It's driving me to the point of madness. I have hidden cameras now so hopefully I'll get a good pic. They stole my cameras off of our feeders the last time. Hopefully its someone that lost their way and nothing more in your case.

Okay, this will sound a bit whacky but...could it be a friend/other messing with you?

                  Here's why I'm thinking that:
                  • In this day and age (of game cams at feeders), who doesn't know they might be picked up on camera walking directly in front of a feeder?
                  • He is covered/concealed from head to toe (I know the cam read 37 degrees, but still...)
                  • No weapon at all (why on earth is he there, then? Just for a walk? Recon?)

I caught a couple of people on my game cam recently, a man and a woman with a shovel. Yes, it bugs me. Have no idea why they were on my property and even less of an idea what they were digging up or burying. But, as mentioned above, I have forced myself to just let it go. The option is to drive myself insane and get no further pleasure from my property.

Phones have MAPS on them and you should know your own property and realize the fence divides your place from another.

Especially when on small acreage like this.

Lord have mercy on you if you ever get lost, with no phone.....

What I'm trying to bring to this doom and gloom here is the possibility that this guy is lost and looking for a way out.

I don't even carry a phone in the stand.

So let me make sure I understand.... If he dragged the doe 11 miles in the wrong direction.... He was at least 22 miles from the place he wanted to be !!!
