Food plot question

When would be the best time to hunt a small food plot (winter wheat) after a freeze? We had a pretty hard freeze 2 days ago and everything is starting to die off. Should I hunt a food plot now or give it some time? I have another spot I was considering hunting but its just a wooded area with a couple good trails going to it. Any thoughts?

Put a time lapse camera on the plot so you know what is coming in it and what time. Once all the acorns are gone they move to other food sources, hopefully your food plot. Also go by it once a week and hand throw some corn in it. I think the deer come to check if a treat is there for them.
