    Duck Activity

Trying to decide whether or not to sit on the banks of a pond or in my blind this weekend. Haven't been down to where we duck hunt in a couple weeks so I was wondering if anyone has seen much? Brazos River area southwest of Fort Worth, if anyone has any reports it would be greatly appreciated.

This cold weather has to have some ducks coming down for sure I'm thinking.

I sat last weekend and didn't see a bird. Yesterday I could hear some geese fly over the house, so maybe the ducks are moving down as well. Im gonna hunt em this weekend.

I'm north east of you but I only saw one duck in my usual spots till Tuesday morning. Had a one man limit on public water in short order. Could of had at least a five man limit with the ducks that were moving.

I know the birds were flying over two nights ago. Had three flocks of geese over the house within 5 minutes that I was out there. And a few cranes mixed in. Strong north wind, should be moving in

Saw a lot on some stock ponds yesterday in cooke county near the red river. Will probably give it a go this weekend

Saw 50 ducks on a small pond in Travis county this morning. They should be moving with all this wind.

Went and checked a couple of holes this morning and not a single bird. I didn't see a bird in the sky, nor on any water that I drove by. This is in East Texas.

Looks like it's going to be the norm this year despite this front. I'll whack'em after the split.

I have had teal and wood ducks all over my place in East Texas. Last weekend didn't hear many shots on Murval but, opening weekend it sounded like a the storming of Normandy.

I hunted timber Tuesday and had maybe 10 woodies come in.

I've seen a few big ducks pass in the evenings on the deer stand the past 10 days or so. I was hoping with the full moon on the 6th and this front that we would be covered up by now. They may have pushed on down past us.

Hopefully this weekend will show something. Typically it doesn't get good for me until Xmas but last year we were killing green heads at Thanksgiving.

We have a 45 acre lake (when full) in Grayson that is usually covered up by now, hardly seen a bird on it.

No, I've not got my buck yet. Last weekend while in my blind all I could hear was flock after flock of geese over head and I can only imagine this cold weather and north wind have to be bringing the ducks down.

I might sit on the ponds in the AM and in the blind in the PM.
