I wore their llano SS and their mid weight Chama underneath. That was all I wore. It is the warmest jacket I have ever worn bar none. It blocked the wind very well and the pockets are extremely warm. I didn't have to wear gloves. I bought it in Realtree Xtra because it was the only pattern available in my size. I have since bought it in their new fusion pattern. So if any of you are looking for one, I am selling a size Large in realtree extra. $200 TYD.

    Power buy.

What were you wearing on the bottom half?

I'm wondering about the warmth of the North Branch pants now.

When temps were above the 30's I wore On the bottom half the merino boxers, light weight bottoms, heavy weight bottoms (all by firstlite) then the north branch pants.

When the cold front came through and the wind was blowing so hard that the tree I was in 20 feet up was rocking me to sleep lol I wore everything above but added my mountain hardwear compressor synthetic insulated pants underneath the north branch. That was more than enough to keep me warm.

The North branch pants are a must have in my opinion. They are warm, wind proof, and very water proof. They don't advertise them as water proof but I wore them in the field in Kansas this year in October. It rained on me for 3 days straight. The first 2 I was scouting and glassing from a ridge and I stayed dry as a bone. The third day was in the stand. I was very impressed with them. They were breathable yet kept me dry. On the flip side, I do not wear them early season because they are too warm.

Hope this helps yall out! Firstlite make top notch quality products!

I am very cold natured and get cold extremely easy, so what I wear is usually over doing it for most.

                  First Lite Sanctuary Jacket

I received my SS llano from first lite. I love this shirt! I actually haven't hunted with it yet BC I don't want to scent free wash it...then I can't wear the llano around the house. It regulates my temp well.
I also got a chama hoody. This thing rocks! I love the thumb holes and the feel of the wool. The hood felt goofy at first but grew on me.
The hood stays in place and is surprising warm and makes a difference. The 1/4 zip is nice as I have gotten hot in my chama and used the 1/4 zip to cool off.
I've worn the llano and chama together layered and was very warm. Everyone else had a light jacket on and I was very comfortable.
I've also got a sanctuary jacket but have not worn it enough to have an opinion it yet. I think I'm going to like it though.
The first lite brimmed beanies were out of stock. I'm looking to get one for my hunting box. I imagine that the brimmed beanie will be another quality piece from first lite.

I received my merino 1/4 zip today that I bought from camofire. This shirt is core 4 element brand.

Comparing the first lite to core 4, definitely first lite seems better quality, more thought into the garment and better features.
It may not be apples to apples but the first lite 1/4 zip scores better to me.

                        First Lite Sanctuary Jacket

This sanctuary jacket is the most comfortable, warmest and quietest jacket I've ever owned.
I love the features on it like drawstring hood, internal gasket in the pockets and the compressed cuffs.
I have to watch myself on a morning hunt BC this jacket will put me to sleep! Very warm and comfy. I got into the stand both mornings this weekend right before 6am and proceeded to doze off. Prior to the jacket I would have been too dang cold and shivering to doze off to sleep.
The jacket is super quiet. I'm able to move, adjust and pull my hands out of my pockets without making a sound.

Thanks for the review. I'll add this to my closet before next season

Midway USA is having an end of season clearance sale on several First Lite items. I picked up the Sanctuary jacket in Realtree Xtra size XL for $187 along with a Llano quarter-zip top for $61 and Kanab pants for $102. Free shipping, too.
