$2000 Hunnymoon????

OK we are on a tight budget for our hunnymoon comming up in march... budget will be $2000 for the 2 of us we are willing to go anywhere... Lets have some ideas.. We are looking to stay for about 3-4 days..

cruise ship... Ft. Walton Beach in florida... Really airfare will take a big chunk of that $2000, so it needs to be close. Southwest just started flying to Mexico, you might be able to find a package deal on a flight and an all inclusive in Cabo San Lucas.

My wife and I went to Fredricksburg for 4 nights. I believe the lodging was well under 2K so she and I had money to shop around and eat on.

Drive to Galveston and get on a cruise there.

Drive to the Mountains and rent a lodge. Ski, snow mobile, etc.

Look for a place in Gulf Shores, AL and rent it for the week

Those would be my list with that budget. Good luck!

$2k will get you a very nice week somewhere in the Ouachita mountains (AR and OK border). Lots of neat little towns, and great roads to drive. Rent ATV's, fish, sight see, and lots of other stuff as well.


We are taking a family vacation over Christmas up to Mena to rent a cabin and ride ATV's, hike, fish and just relax.

went to vegas for ours. You can spend less then a grand for the airfare and hotels. Then have some gambling money left over.

My wife and I did a nine day vacay to Colorado a couple of years ago. It was right around a grand a piece. We did do some camping to help save money. Took our bikes, did some white water rafting and had a great time. Crested Butte is a beautiful city. I could have spent the whole week there. Great eats too.

I would check into some of the all inclusive resorts in Cozumel. It was 2800 for tickets and all for me and the wife a few years back for a full week and we had a swim up suite right on the pool in June so I think 3-4 days in March should be right a 2k or a little less even.
