I think that AR has done great things for the deer heard across the state by keeping yahoo's from shooting 1 & 2 year olds but I hate that they put a bounty on spikes. I was just stating that we run A LOT of trail cams in 3 different AR counties for many years and I have never seen a 3 year old with 1 unbranched antler like it shows in the regulation pamphlet.

So people who shoot 2 year old deer are yahoos? I'll be sure to let my 9 year old who killed his first 6 point this weekend know that. Heaven forbid someone shoot a deer bc they actually like the sport of it and want to kill one and not worry about B&C. Im all about shooting nice deer and I let plenty bucks walk every year but i surely wouldn't call someone who enjoys shooting young deer a yahoo or have a problem with them if it gives them a thrill.

The entire hunting scene is moving that direction and it's really sad to me. When God gave us dominion over the beasts of the fields I guess he should have added a clause that excludes young bucks. Sad, just sad.
