Crossbows Recommendations

Recently moved to Maryland temporarily. The property I live on is covered up in whitetail. Limit is 10 and the season runs until March 31! My bow is still in Texas so I am going to buy a crossbow to use the short time I am here. Not looking top of the line but will spend what I need to buy something quality. Any recommendations? Anything I need to know?

I was in a similar situation and I bought a Barnett raptor and it broke the second time I shot it (spent $450), so got rid of it and bought a Wicked Ridge by TenPoint Invader, best for the price imo ($550), look in cabelas bargin cave they have some really good deals right now on xbows

My uncle and cousin both have the cheap Barnett jackal and have been shooting them for a couple years with no problems. They sale for around $300

Excalibur's are hard to beat, you can get into them for @ 550. You will be happy with the simplicity and performance.
