    Now for some Rat Snakes.
    1. Bairds Ratsnake (Elaphe bairdi) from HWY 163, North of Comstock.
    2. Bairds Ratsnake pair (Male larger and more colorful) - Both are from Vance, TX.
    3. Great Plains Rat Snake (Elaphe emoryi) - From Kingsville.
    4. Great Plains Rat Snake - From Kingsville. he was in my mouse tubs, getting some grub.
    5. Great Plains Rat Snake - From the Black Gap Wildlife Management Area.
    6. & 7. Kisatchie Corn Snakes (Elaphe slowinskii) - Both are from Carlos, TX.
    8. & 9. Trans Pecos Rat Snake (Bogertophis subocularis) - from Hwy 90, near the Val Verde/Terrel County line.
    10. Blond Phase Trans Pecos Rat Snake - Captive Breed, but in some areas (deep in the bend) can be found.

      3. Texas Longnose Snake (Rhinocheilus lecontei tessellatus ) - Near Langtry, TX.
      4. & 5. DOR Longnose Snake - West of Langtry.
      6. Texas Patchnose Snake (Salvadora grahamiae lineata) - HWY 277, North of Loma Alta, TX.
      7. Texas Night Snake (Hypsiglena torquata jani) - Hwy 277, North of Del Rio.
      8. Texas Night Snake - The "Gap"
      9. DOR Texas Indigo (Drymarchon melanurus erebennus) - Near Kingsville, TX
      10. & 11. Mexican Hook-nosed Snake (Gyalopion quadrangulare) - SW of Freer

        Some Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes (Crotalus atrox)
        1. From HWY 163, north of Comstock.
        2. SW of Hebronville.
        3. Aberrant pattern, from somewhere in South Texas (not sure).

          Two really cool rattlesnakes are the Northern Black-Tailed Rattlesnake (Crotalus molossus molossus) and the Mottled Rock Rattlesnake (Crotalus lepidus lepidus).
          1. 2. & 3. - Northern Black Tail - from HWY 90, just West of Comstock.
          4. & 5. - Two different Black Tails - One is from just North of Comstock, and the other is from West of Langtry, but I do not remember which is which.
          6. 7. & 8. - Rock Rattlesnake from North of Comstock.
          9. Rock Rattlesnake from Comstock.
          10. & 11. Rock Rattlesnake from North of Comstock.

            Last one is not a snake, it is a lizard, a Slender Glass Lizard (Ophisaurus attenuatus). From Ricardo, TX.

              OK, you finally made me go back through my old pictures and upload these. Someone rquested a timber rattler in it's natural setting. I will confess though that this one was in Kansas

                    Those look like what we call "Mountain Boomer" lizards. Lots of them where I hunt.

                      mike17l, me and a buddy made that comstock/juno run all night a few times looking for the king snakes....all we ever found was a long nose and rattlers.....was good times though....we met Herpetologists from all over the planet there for the king mating season
