howdy folks!
first of all, i'd like to thank you guys for sharing your knowledge.
i have learned so much and i hope to put it to good use asap.
also, it would be nice if there were a separate section in the forums for
introductions. i feel like i'm peeing in front of a thousand people. :P
i am 39yo and a EE in the semiconductor field. i moved to Austin from NJ in
March 2007 so that i could be closer to my family than i otherwise would
be had i moved to CA. Texas definitely suits me way better. i love it here.
i am half Korean and half white. it's an interesting story for another day.
my old man taught archery at the local community college. so i grew up,
with my brother, running around in the woods of NJ with bows and arrows...
most of which were leftovers or whatever from his classes.
we didn't hunt, and hunting season was the only time of the year that we
weren't allowed to go into the woods; but we did anyway. when we did...
we would pee near hunters stands and stuff because this is our woods.
anyway, i come to find out that all of our descendants were hunters too..
and, sadly, it had skipped a generation. so, i'm looking to take it back.
i'm starting from nothing and listening to the blood that pumps though my
veins. my first hunt comes up later this month at my mom's farm in NJ.
i hope to share my success and this great endeavor with my son who
turned 19 this year ( i'll share with the GS too obviously
).
i'll be shooting a Browning Bridger that i got when i was like 13...
#70 after today's adjustment... and a Samick Phantom that is #45...
the Samick is #45 @28, but i draw ~31.
thanks for reading this far if you have and thanks again!
TLDR: hello. i' am new here. please help me to shoot arrows.
also, i am interested/involved in:
making knives
leathercrafting
traditional archery
bowyering
killing animals
conquering nature
shooting guns
making guns
crossbows?
flintknapping?
WorldofTanks
women over 25yo
thanks again!
