Hog trapping for the first time

Well I picked up my first trap last night. I got it out and going to leave it open and bait it for a couple days. We'll see how it goes!

It's a push gate right now but if it doesn't give results I will add a trigger to it. It's upside down in that picture with the door laying open up by the cab.

I just started trapping 2 weeks ago. I hauled 4 to the buyer yesterday for 172.00, so far I've put right at 600.00 in my pocket with 15 hogs.

Don't waste your corn and time with the push gate--put the trigger in now. And, paint the floor of the trap gold with corn so they pile in and pile up before they get to the trigger wire.

I would go ahead and set a trip on the door. I prop mine open with a stick and run a trip wire across the trap. I've caught 9 in three days $350.00

Mike and Vanessa around the Coldwell area. That is the only one in the area I'm aware of.

Anyone know of any other buyers in the Milam county area?

No i would rather leave the door open and have a trigger in the back. Works better
