I probably do not brag on my kids enough, as I expect them to bust their hump to succeed at everything they do, but I need to do a little bragging right now.
My daughter is a freshman this year at El Campo HS (Dad is no where near ready for her to grow up). From Pre-K to 8th grade we had her at St. Philip Catholic School so we knew there would be a transition to public school. She seems to be adjusting well.
First, she made the all "A" honor roll for the first nine weeks. There is about 250 students in her class, and on average, less than 10% are able to that. Not only that, but she was high point in English. Without having to be told, she works very hard on her classes.
Second, she led her cross country team to a district championship this year. Not only did she qualify for Regionals with the team, but she did it individually also. And although opening morning is kind of shot since the Regional meet is this Saturday morning, I could not be happier to give it up.
