Put in about 50 miles worth of scouting myself. Got some spots in mind now its just a matter of getting one of them. But hey there aren't any deer on the refuge anyway right?
I scouted on Sunday and found what I needed but I'm sure a dozen other guys will be headed to the same spot or close by. Last time I hunted the H, trail cameras were allowed and I had a pic of a giant 170-180" buck. A guy set up 100 yards from me and put out all kinds of scents (buck bombs, doe pee, buck pee). He was rattling, grunting, bleating all day long. Needless to say I didn't see the buck or any other shooter. It's part of public hunting. I won't mind anyone hunting close to me this time I just hope they don't jack up the area like the other guy did.

Don't worry, I'm only going to put out a gallon of Vanilla
I hear that. Less is more on a public hunt area for sure. So much pressure thrown on them all at once between last minute scouters, hanging stands and going to and from stands all at once.
