And looking at several reviews the Moultries may not be as good as I first thought. Detection and battery is good but focus seems to be too close and should be infinity...

I'm leaning real hard toward the Browning Spec OPS. At $180 (with 8Gig card and 2 yr warranty), it's in my price range and has the best of all options.

This is a review on the Strike Force night pics.

Night pictures are nearly just as good. Plenty of flash range and surprising clarity on top of that. Like anything with a big infrared flash, there will be white out on close, centered animals. Overall, these night pictures are exactly what we would want to see out of any infrared camera, let alone one as inexpensive as this Strike Force.

      Key points in bold...

I hate stealth cam. Worst cam I ever had.

I just got a Bushnell 7mp that takes great pics and the battery life is supposed to be very good

Browning Strike Fire. A year in a set of lithiums (6xAA). Great detection, small, video, plot watching, affordable($129), and great photos.

I've been looking too and I think the browning is going to get the nod.

I currently have the Moultrie M-880. It is the 2nd one I've had. 1st one was defective and exchanged for this one. Not impressed at all. Despite OBVIOUS pig activity I had zero pictures. There have been times when the target has to be within 10' of the camera before it will take a picture. Most recently it did something weird with the images and saved them in a way I can't even begin to explain. Let's just say I couldn't retrieve the 10 pics it did take.

I ran a Bushnell Trophy cam a couple years back and really liked that TC. I made the change based on the positive reviews of the M880. Big mistake!

I ordered the Browning Spec OPS last night. The 2014 model has good reviews and to get much better (by reviews on trailcampro), I'd have to spend $450. Ain't doing that...

I hope it works out for you.

On another note: It is interesting that Bass Pro does not carry the Browning TC's per their website and trailcampro.com does not review any of the Cuddeback products.

I have a moultrie 990i and it's awesome. I actually have two of them. I also have a moultrie 880 and don't like it. The two 990i's are sweet though. Take great pictures day or night. Lithium batteries will last me all season.
