    Fletching hitting my rest

Ok, I am nowhere near as good at tuning a bow as any of you guys...that said, this is my first year shooting a drop away rest. Anyways, after shooting today I noticed on all of my arrows, the two white fletchings have a bunch of black on them from the rest, I shoot odd colored up.

After seeing that, I decided to try shooting odd color down to see if it would still hit, and it was hitting as well.

Now, is it that my drop away is not falling fast enough?? I am assuming it isnt, because if it was, the vanes wouldnt touch....

If it is not falling fast enough, how do I fix it??

Do I need to rotate my knocks some?

I am a novice, so if it is a stupid question forgive me.....

    Thanks for any help...

Your rest isn't falling fast enough. Adjust the cord to the rest to give it just a tiny bit more slack. Just lengthen the cord a tiny bit and you will be good to go.

Not such thing as a stupid question.

What make/ model rest do you have?

It is a shaffer rest, not sure on the model, bought it this year with my switchback...

Hog Hunter, are you saying I need to tighten the cord, or give the cord more slack?

Hog H means more slack, I think. Check the spring on the rest.

          Good Luck
