    Two East Tx Bucks down

    My brothers 10 point

    My 8 point

The Erickson brothers do it again on our small 65 acres in Harris County along the San Jacinto River.
My brothers 10 point was killed along a trail that had multiple rubs and scrapes heading towards a feeder. All of the pics of the deer we had was right after dark so My brother scouted and intercepted the buck as he was leaving the bedding area checking his scrapes "no corn involved"
As for my deer ill start off and say I should of let walk but my offshore rotation 28/14 I'm not home much so I took the opportunity I had and took him.
I killed him by finding out where he came from which was from the neighboring property he didn't live on mine. I pretty much set up on a logging road the deer use for a funnel the trees are stacked on the side of the road from when they pushed the trees aside to form the road so they make like a barrier on each side which is pretty cool but the buck traveled the funnel heading to the feeder which I believe then he checks all the scrapes he has within a 100 yard perimeter around the feeder and noseys in to the feeder after dark and eats. Well "I had corn out" but the buck just like clock work came down that funnel heading straight down it not caring for the corn on the ground walked **** near underneath me and I tried aiming for the middle of his back but I shot 5in to the left and hit his neck/spine and dropped him. But always doing a little homework learning the deer before the hunt and turning out with success is always the best feeling gotta love Bowhunting.

And you didn't have to get in a boat to find them. Great kills in the urban giant of Texas.
