Sarcocytosis in Mule Deer. Is it edible?

Sarcocytosis in mule deer has been showing regularly in my local GMUs, I've searched online a lot but can't find an answer if it is edible for humans? If not, what about for dogs?

The meat is edible, but cannot be eaten rare or really even medium. It needs to be fully cooked. (155-165) However, most human cases are asymptomatic.
