I've purchased mine at a Jerry's gun shop in Ardmore last year. I had to buy nonresident archery license.

You have to buy license and tags. Separate tags for different types of hunting, ie bow, mzldr, rifle.

i think under either 14 or 16 is exempt from needing a license.

Nonresidents
Under 14 Years of Age
Nonresidents under 14 years of age are exempt
from the purchase of a hunting license,
HIP requirements and federal duck stamp.
Under 16 Years of Age
Nonresidents under 16 years of age are exempt
from the purchase of the federal duck
stamp and HIP requirements.
Under 18 Years of Age
Any person under 18 years of age in the physical
custody of an Oklahoma child-care facility is
exempt from the purchase of a hunting license

Okay that is encouraging!

What about a tag for deer? Do they use tags?

not really. normally for adults you buy "deer tags/license" and it expemts you from needing a hunting license. you just log it on the license and do the online check in.

might wanna just call them and ask... they have been pretty helpful to me in the past and even refunded me for uneeded licenses i bought from walmart.

I only bear hunt up there. I don't need to buy a hunting license, just a non resident bear tag.

Buy online and reduce the options to NR... a whole lot less to pick from. Headed there this weekend myself. Good luck
