    Tire balancing with Dynabeads

    Thoughts or reviews?

    #2
I used them in some BFG A/T 315/70/17s I ran on my Dodge Cummins. I think they balanced well enough, but they are a pain when you need to dismount the tire for replacement or to fix a flat. BFGs are notorious for picking up flat-causing debris, so I needed to have a flat fixed. The tire guy was really excited when he busted the bead on my tire and the beads went all over the shop.

I say go with Road-Forced balancing, or possibly some Centramatics. YMMV, but this is my real-world experience.

Dad uses them in all his motorcycle tires. He's kind of a tire snob/junkie so I would assume they are good.

I've used airsoft pellets to balance big tires. Worked pretty darn good. I was able to run 70mph with 38" Super Swampers and no vibration.

Dynamic balancing beads have been in use for years, mostly with big trucks.

Same here. Airsoft, 40" boggers, cruising down the freeway with no vibration. And when u stop it sounds like a giant rain stick :-)
