Any of you guys have lifted or leveled duallys? What size tire are you running?

Why would you ever lift a dually? Seems kinda counter intuitive to me...

Any problems with the spacers. I pull a heavy 40' fifth wheel.

I've got spacers on mine, good spacers, and I've had no trouble with a 20,000lb gooseneck.

Going to be fewer and fewer of these now that many tire shops are refusing to put oversize tires on factory width rims....

Same reason some people buy a 4x4 dually, then "slam" it down(lowering kit).

Makes no sense to me either, but it's their vehicle, to each his own.

I woudnt slam a dually, but I would shorten one by 2 or so inches. Duallys are for pulling, and by lifting it you get less stability, lose torque to the ground because of bigger tires, and raise your center of gravity.

I dunno I've never really been one to judge others based on how they spend their money. It's their money they can do what they please.

I agree, but I still want to understand their logic. May change my point of view.

Because they like the look for whatever reason. It's not really any different that lifting a single wheel one ton truck or even a 3/4 ton for that matter. Most of these trucks aren't used as more than daily drivers most of the time anyways. Heck, there aren't many half ton trucks that "need" a lift. But they look cool.

Also I've seen plenty of work trucks (fire, on site welding, etc) that are duallys but really do need the extra ground clearance for job sites.
