I woudnt slam a dually, but I would shorten one by 2 or so inches. Duallys are for pulling, and by lifting it you get less stability, lose torque to the ground because of bigger tires, and raise your center of gravity.Comment

Because they like the look for whatever reason. It's not really any different that lifting a single wheel one ton truck or even a 3/4 ton for that matter. Most of these trucks aren't used as more than daily drivers most of the time anyways. Heck, there aren't many half ton trucks that "need" a lift. But they look cool.
Also I've seen plenty of work trucks (fire, on site welding, etc) that are duallys but really do need the extra ground clearance for job sites.Comment
