Does were moving over the weekend, bucks were not chasing. I heard rut is supposed to start in early November.

I have a place there on the North llano River, but haven't been down in a couple weeks.....waiting for cool weather.

I just got back yesterday after hunting out there for a week. I was hunting just outside Junction. It was warm, so I wore shorts on a couple of hunts. The mosquitos tore me up. I fired up my thermocell but kept getting busted. In desperation, I used a little deet but the deer kept on snorting. Hard to wear lots of protective clothes when its 85-90 degrees. Wind was not consistent because a couple of fronts that came through last week. Doe and fawns were hitting the feeders but no bucks outside a couple spikes and a forkie.
