Found this in a river washout yesterday while fossil hunting. Initial google search looks like it may be turtle shell?? Am I close?

Looks like a piece of turtle shell bone but does not look mineralized.

Cnidaria (aka coral). Pennsylvanian in age I'd say. Roughly 300 million years old
